Beat you to the Finish Line

Next Saturday this will be me. Well, maybe not exactly how I'm going to look but close, real close! My sister and I are running a 5k for adoption next weekend. All the money raised will go to families wanting to adopt but cant afford the process. Its a great idea, organized by a great woman, way to go Jenni. Go see it

Have you seen this yet? If not, go see it now. Before it leaves the theatre, trust me you wont be disappointed, it really is a great flick. Loved it, loved the videography, loved the actors, loved the soundtrack, loved the message, LOVED the group dance at the end during the credits. You all know I love a good group dance. You know, when everyone knows the same dance, somewhat of a line dance if you will. Anyways, go see it!

Little Tree

Heres the thing...I think that I have some great gifts, but one thing that I just can't seem to get good at is keeping my poor, poor, potted plants alive and healthy.

Exhibit A:


This is my sad little rosemary tree. Her name is 'little tree' (thanks Ella), she started out as a healthy, happy, fully green tree, happily thriving at Lowes. Me and Ella purchased her brought her home and now just look at her. Brown, dying, sad but still holding on. She's a fighter! I've tried to blame it on a fungus, that she really wasnt all that healthy to begin with but the truth is that I just didnt give her water. Thats right, I starved little tree until she was brown and half way dead, I am ashamed. Lowes shouldn't be allowed to sell me anymore plants.

Ella told me today that she really needs water to be happy. I gave her a big glass and literally heard her sigh with relief! Maybe this spring i'll be a better gardener to little tree...and all the others, unfortunately I have Exhibit B, C, and D.

Spring Time

Something about spring time always brings out the 'spring' cleaner in me. Today I spent the morning cleaning out the kids closets, going through toys and clothes. I'm sure that now that I have put away their winter clothes we will get another cold snap, its just the way it goes. Every year during hay bailing time the minute we get the bails on the ground it starts to rain, go figure! I do love the feeling of knowing that all the kids toys are in their proper places and that all their clothes is hung in order, it just makes me feel good. Now, I'll try and not get too attached, I'm sure by this evening all will have gone a muck and Bennet will have pulled down his clothes and Ella will have gone through all her toys and put them where she thinks they belong, but for now we have order. People that know me wouldn't call me a clean freak or well organized however deep down there is a clutter phoebe just waiting to get out, and today she is peeking through!
